Lolo-Burmese
A group of languages ​​belonging to the Tibeto-Burman branch of the Sino-Tibetan language family, including Burmese, Yi (Lolo), Lisu, Lahu, Akha, Naxi (Mosuo), Xixia, Kachin, Nung, and Pyu. The languages ​​closest to Burmese are Mar, Lashi, Atsi, Achang, Pon, and Marma. Characteristic features include (1) the contrast between normal and tense vowels in many cases, (2) three types of distant pronouns for demonstratives, and (3) separate forms for verbs for "travel" based on direction (specifically, directional categories such as upstream and downstream).

シナ・チベット語族のチベット・ビルマ語派に属する言語群で,ビルマ語,イ(彝)語(ロロ語),リス語,ラフ語,アカ語,ナシ語(モソ語),西夏語,カチン語,ヌン語,ピュー語などが含まれる。ビルマ語に最も近い言語としてはマル,ラシ,アツィ,アチャン,ポン,マルマの諸言語がある。特徴としては,多くの場合に(1)普通母音と緊喉母音の対立をもつ,(2)指示詞に3種の遠称がある,(3)方向を基準として〈往来〉の動詞に別々の形式がある(具体的には川上,川下などの方向範疇),などがあげられる。
