Kant (Railroad) - Kant

Japanese: カント(鉄道) - カント
Kant (Railroad) - Kant
The difference in height between the inner and outer rails at a curved section of rail. When a train or vehicle passes through a curved section, centrifugal force causes the vehicle, passengers, and cargo to fall to the outside of the curve. The outside of the curve is made higher to provide a force that counteracts this centrifugal force.
