Xilinhot - Shirinhoto

Japanese: シリンホト - しりんほと

A city in the Xilingol League on the grasslands of the eastern part of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, China. Population 130,000 (1994). Today it is called Abagnar Banner. Xilinhot means "plain city" in Mongolian. In the past, there was a lama temple built in the mid-18th century and hundreds of lamas, and it was called Beizimiao. However, after liberation, industries such as leather, dairy products, and agricultural machinery developed, and it is also a transportation hub to the central region of the autonomous region, the northeast region, Hebei Province, and other areas, and it is the political, economic, and cultural center of the league.

中国，内モンゴル自治区東部の草原にあるシリンゴール(錫林郭勒)盟の都市。人口13万(1994)。今日ではアバグナル(阿巴哈納爾)旗と呼ばれる。シリンホトとはモンゴル語で〈平原の城〉の意味。かつては18世紀中ごろ建立のラマ寺院と数百のラマ僧がおり，貝子廟と呼ばれた。しかし，解放後は皮革，乳製品，農牧機械などの工業も発展し，また，自治区中部地方，東北地区，河北省などへの交通要地でもあり，盟の政経･文化の中心となっている。
