A Chinese businessman and reformer in the late Qing dynasty. Born in Xiangshan County, Guangdong Province. Also known as Guanying and pen name Tao Cai. Initially engaged in commerce in Shanghai, he had extensive contact with Europeans, developing insight into modern Western things and practical skills. Later, his abilities were recognized by Li Hongzhang and other pro-Westernization bureaucrats, and he participated in the management of important businesses at the end of the Qing dynasty. His books include "Yi Yan," "Dangerous Words in the Shengshi," and "Dangerous Words in the Shengshi, Part 2."

中国，清末の実業家，改革論者。広東省香山県の人。別名は官応。号は陶斎。初め上海で商業に従事しながらヨーロッパ人と広く接触して，西欧の近代的事物に対する識見と実務的手腕を養う。のち実力を李鴻章ら洋務派官僚に認められ，清代末の重要な企業経営に参画した。著書に『易言』『盛世危言』『盛世危言後編』などがある。
