Japanese: 玉川[町] - たまがわ

A former town in Ochi County, occupying the central part of the Takanawa Peninsula in northern Ehime Prefecture. Located in the Soja River basin. Centered around Nibukawa Onsen, it has developed as a tourist destination behind Imabari City, with scenic spots such as Mount Narahara and Senbiki Pass, and Senbiki no Sakura (a scenic spot). In January 2005, it was incorporated into Imabari City along with the Ochi County villages of Namikata, Onishi, Kikuma, Yoshiumi, Miyakubo, Hakata, Kamiura, Omishima, Sekimae, and Asakura. 103.90 ^km2 . 6,012 people (2003).

愛媛県北部，高縄半島中部を占める越智(おち)郡の旧町。蒼社(そうじゃ)川流域に位置する。鈍川(にぶかわ)温泉を中心に今治(いまばり)市背後の観光地として発展，楢原(ならばら)山，千疋(せんびき)峠などの景勝地，〈千疋の桜〉（名勝）がある。2005年１月越智郡波方町，大西町，菊間町，吉海町，宮窪町，伯方町，上浦町，大三島町，関前村，朝倉村と今治市へ編入。103.90km²。6012人（2003）。
