Kasumizawa Power Plant

...Volcanic material erupted from Mt. Yakedake subsequently buried the pond, and its area has now halved. The development of power sources for the Azusa River system began in the 1920s, and many power plants were built, including the Kasumizawa Power Plant with an effective head of 450m. After World War II, large dams were built, including the Nakado Dam with a bank height of 155m, Midono, and Inekoki, completely changing the landscape of the midstream and downstream areas of the Azusa River.
