Izushi Shrine

Located in Miyauchi, Izushi-cho, Toyooka City, Hyogo Prefecture. The deities enshrined are Amenohiboko no Mikoto and Izushi Yazen no Okami. According to the shrine's legend, Amenohiboko no Mikoto came to Japan during the reign of Emperor Suinin and developed the area, and out of respect for his virtue, the shrine enshrined the eight sacred treasures he held as Yazen no Okami. In the Engishiki, it is listed as a Myojin Taisha. It is revered as the Ichinomiya of Tajima Province, and in 1871 (Meiji 4), it was ranked as a Kanpei Chusha (medium-ranked shrine). The annual festival is held on October 20th. The Ohanabira Festival is held on November 22nd and 23rd. The shrine treasures include one wakizashi (short sword) designated as an Important Cultural Property by the government, and there are restricted areas within the temple grounds.

兵庫県豊岡(とよおか)市出石町宮内(いずしちょうみやうち)に鎮座。祭神は天日槍命(あめのひぼこのみこと)、出石八前大神(やくさのおおかみ)。社伝によると、垂仁(すいにん)天皇のとき天日槍命が来朝して当地を開拓したので、その徳を敬慕し、命が奉持していた八種(やぐさ)の神宝を八前大神として祀(まつ)ったとされている。『延喜式(えんぎしき)』では名神(みょうじん)大社。但馬(たじま)国一宮として崇敬され、1871年（明治4）官幣中社に列格した。例祭は10月20日。11月22、23日には御年花(おはなびら)祭が行われる。社宝に国の重要文化財指定の脇差(わきざし)1振があり、境内に禁足地が残されている。
