Chair Shape - Isu-gata

… The six carbon atoms of cyclohexane are not on the same plane, and all bond angles are approximately equal to tetrahedral angles (109.5 degrees). The most stable conformation is the chair conformation, and most cyclohexane molecules exist in this conformation at room temperature. When several C-C bonds in the chair conformation are rotated simultaneously, the axial bonds (bonds that extend above and below the plane of the ring) are rotated.
