Xuan He Shufu (English)

Japanese: 宣和書譜 - せんなしょふ（英語表記）Xuān hé shū pǔ

A catalogue of works in the collection of the Inner Palace during the reign of Emperor Huizong in the late Northern Song Dynasty. 20 volumes. Compiled at the same time as the Xuanhe Painting Collection, it divides calligraphers from the Han to the Northern Song Dynasty into seven categories: Imperial Calligraphy, Seal Script, Regular Script, Running Script, Cursive Script, Eight-Part Script, and Imperial Orders, and includes commentaries on each category, a short biography of each calligrapher, and a critique of their qualities. As the list of calligraphers from the Song Dynasty ends with Cai Jing, Cai Bian, and Mi Fu, it is said that these three were the editors. It is a valuable resource for a wealth of calligraphy historical material and for tracing the transmission of calligraphy works.

中国，北宋末期の徽宗朝の内府所蔵書作品目録。20巻。《宣和画譜》と同時に編纂され，漢より北宋に至る書家を，歴代諸帝王書，篆（てん）書，正書，行書，草書，八分書，制詔誥命の7門に分け，各門の叙論，各書家の小伝および品等評論を付す。宋人の書が蔡京（さいけい），蔡卞（さいべん），米芾（べいふつ）で終わるところから，これら3人を編者とする説がある。豊富な書法の史料として，また作品流伝の跡をうかがううえで貴重な資料である。
