Senki

A Chinese poet from the mid-Tang Dynasty. His courtesy name was Zhongwen, and he was from Wuxing County (Zhejiang Province). There are many unknowns about his career, including the years of his birth and graduation, but he passed the Jinshi exam in 750 or the following year, and served as a secretary-general and a county magistrate in Lantian County (Shaanxi Province), rising to the rank of Kaogong Langzhong. His career as a poet began in the height of the Tang Dynasty, but he is counted among the "Ten Talented Poets of the Great Year" along with other poets who were active mainly during the Dali period (766-779) of Emperor Daizong. He excelled in five-character poems, and wrote more of them than seven-character poems. His style of poetry has a unique flavor of sentimentality, and there are many excellent poems of scenery, farewells, and exchanges. He is known as Qian Lang along with Lang Shigen, who is also one of the Ten-Year-Olds.

中国、中唐期の詩人。字(あざな)は仲文(ちゅうぶん)、呉興(ごこう)県（浙江(せっこう)省）の人。生卒年をはじめ、その経歴には不明な点が多いが、天宝九載（750）ないしはその翌年に進士に及第、秘書省校書郎、藍田(らんでん)県（陝西(せんせい)省）の県尉(けんい)を歴任し、考功郎中にまで上った。詩人としての活動は盛唐期に始まるが、代宗の大暦(たいれき)年間（766～779）を中心に活躍した他の詩人とともに「大暦十才子」の1人に数えられる。彼は五言詩形を得意とし、七言詩に比べて数が多い。詩風は感傷に独自の味わいがあり、叙景の詩、送別・贈酬の作に秀作が少なくない。同じ十才子の1人である郎士元(ろうしげん)とともに銭郎と並称される。『銭考功集』10巻がある。
