Year of birth: Year of birth unknown. Military commander of the Warring States period. Shoun was his Buddhist name, and his real name was Chintane. Mikawa no Kami. Son of Yoshihiro Akira, a retainer of the Otomo clan. After Takahashi Akitane was banished from Chikuzen (Fukuoka Prefecture), he succeeded the Takahashi clan in May 1570 and became the governor of Iwaya Castle and Homan Castle (Dazaifu City) in Chikuzen. After the Battle of Mimikawa in 1578, the local lords of Chikuzen, such as the Ryuzoji clan of Hizen (Saga Prefecture, Nagasaki Prefecture) and the Akizuki clan, rose up in rebellion against the Otomo clan, and together with Totsugi Akitsune, governor of Tachibana Castle (Shingu Town, Fukuoka Prefecture), he fought against the forces hostile to the Otomo clan. In the 14th year of the same year, the Shimazu clan advanced into Chikuzen and besieged both Iwaya and Homan Castles. In the early morning of July 27, Iwaya Castle was attacked by a full force, and he met a heroic end along with the castle lords.

戦国時代の武将。紹運は法名で,実名は鎮種。三河守。大友氏の家臣吉弘鑑理の子。高橋鑑種が筑前(福岡県)を追放されたのちの元亀1(1570)年5月高橋氏を継ぎ,筑前岩屋城・宝満城(太宰府市)の城督となる。天正6(1578)年の耳川の戦後,肥前(佐賀県,長崎県)竜造寺氏や,秋月氏など筑前の国衆が大友氏に反旗を翻すと,立花城(福岡県新宮町)城督戸次鑑連と共に大友氏に敵対する勢力と戦った。同14年島津氏が筑前に進出し,岩屋・宝満両城を包囲。7月27日早朝岩屋城に総攻撃を受け,城衆と共に壮烈な最期を遂げた。
