A type of Kabuki dance. Suzu-daiko, also called furi-tsuzumi, is a drum with several bells inside. In Kabuki, it is used in the dance of female actors, who dance rhythmically by hitting the bell drums held in both hands together or on their knees or the floor. It can be seen in "Doujoji," "Otoko-mai," "Asazuma-bune," and the butterfly dance in "Kagami-jishi." In "Doujoji," the Shirabyōshi Hanako performs a bell drum dance to "Hana ni kokoro..." at the end of her dance, which is full of artistic performances, and then the bell-entering dance begins.
