Goryeo Map Book - Goryeo Map Book

This is a record of the experiences of Goryeo written in 1124 by Xu Jing of the Song dynasty in China. It has 40 volumes. Its original title was "The Map of Goryeo by Xuanwa Envoy." Xu Jing accompanied Song envoy Lu Yundi the previous year and stayed in the capital Kaesong for about a month, recording what he saw and heard during that time in a total of 28 sections, including the founding of the state, the succession of generations, and the city. Originally it was accompanied by diagrams, but these were lost during the Jin invasion, and only the explanatory text remains. However, it is still called the Map of Goryeo. It is a valuable historical document as almost the entire record is based on what was seen at the time.

中国、宋(そう)の徐兢(じょきょう)が1124年に著した高麗の見聞録。40巻。原名は『宣和(せんわ)奉使高麗図経』。徐兢は前年に宋の使臣路允迪(ろいんてき)に従って約1か月ほど首都開城に滞在し、その間に見聞したことを、建国、世次、城邑(じょうゆう)以下、計28部門に分けて記した。元来は図を伴っていたが、金の入寇(にゅうこう)の際に失われ、説明の文だけが残存した。しかし、もとのまま図経の名でよばれる。ほとんどすべて当時の見聞録なので史料価値は高い。
