An official history of the Jin dynasty compiled by Fang Xuanling and others by imperial decree of Emperor Taizong of the Tang dynasty, China. It has 130 volumes. It was completed in the 18th year of the Zhenguan era (644). It contains 10 volumes of the Imperial Chronicles, 20 volumes of the Records, 70 volumes of Biographies, and 30 volumes of the Zaiji. This is the first time that the Zaiji section has appeared in an official history, but it describes the Five Barbarians and Sixteen Kingdoms, and is useful for understanding the Jin dynasty. This book was written by many historians, mainly based on Zang Rongxu's Book of Jin, with other Jin histories as references. Although it is not necessarily of high quality, it is valuable as the only surviving history of the Jin dynasty. Annotations for this book include the Jinshu Kaechu (130 volumes).
