A compendium of Buddhist logic and philosophy. Written by Dharmakirti (7th century). Its Sanskrit name is Nyāya-bindu (a drop of logic). Both the original Sanskrit text and the Tibetan translation remain. It consists of 211 verses in three chapters. The first chapter divides correct knowledge into direct perception and inference, and discusses direct perception. The second chapter discusses inference for one's own understanding, and the third chapter discusses inference for the purpose of helping others understand.
