Jironshu (English spelling) Di-lun-zong

Japanese: 地論宗 - じろんしゅう（英語表記）Di-lun-zong

A sect of Chinese Buddhism based on the Treatise on the Ten Stages of Life by Vasubandhu. It was first translated into Chinese by two men from the Northern Wei dynasty, Lenamade and Bodhiruci, and later by the monk Guangtong (Huiguang), who actively studied the text, and came to be known as the Treatise on the Ten Stages of Life. It split into the Southern and Northern Tao sects and was popular during the Liang, Chen, and Sui dynasties, but merged with the Huayan sect during the Tang dynasty.

世親の著『十地経論』をもととする中国仏教の一派。北魏の勒那摩提 (ろくなまだい) ，菩提流支 (ぼだいるし) の2人が『十地経論』の梵本を漢訳したのが初めで，のち光統律師 (慧光) が出て本論の研究を盛んにし，地論宗と呼ばれるようになった。南道派と北道派に分裂し，梁代，陳代，随代には盛んであったが，唐代に華厳宗に合併した。
