Illuminance - shoudo (English spelling)

A measure of the brightness of a surface illuminated by a light source. It is given as the luminous flux per unit area, and its unit is lux (lx). If a luminous flux of F lumens (lm) is incident on an area of ​​S square meters ( ^m2 ), then the illuminance E is expressed as E = F / S. Illuminance is about 80 lux one meter directly below a 60-watt bare light bulb. It is about 100,000 lux in direct sunlight, about 10,000 lux in the shade of a tree, and about 2,000 lux indoors by a window (north-facing).
