Japanese: 場屋取引 - じょうおくとりひき

A transaction that allows customers who gather at a theater, movie theater, hotel, restaurant, amusement park, etc. to use human and physical facilities. It can be said to belong to the service industry. It is defined as a type of commercial business (Article 502, item 7 of the Commercial Code), and is included as one of the elements that make up the concepts of merchants and commercial activities that determine the scope of application of the Commercial Code. Even if it is a business that sets up facilities and attracts customers, the main purpose is not the sale of goods like a retail store (Article 501, item 1), nor does it provide a service such as transportation like a railway (Article 502, item 4).

劇場，映画館，ホテル，飲食店，遊園地など，そこに集まる客に人的･物的設備を利用させる取引。サービス業の部類に属するといえる。営業的商行為の一種として定められており(商法502条7号)，商法の適用範囲を決める商人，商行為という概念を構成する要素の一つに含まれる。設備を設け客を集める営業であっても，小売店のように物品の販売(501条1号)が主目的ではなく，また鉄道のように運送(502条4号)というサービスを提供するものでもない。
