...Subsequent Expressionist literature lost its centrality and gradually disintegrated. Strahm's style of poetry was inherited by the anti-war poetry of Wilhelm Klemm (1881-1968), and flowed into the Dada movement. Instead of an optimistic outlook for the future, workers' literature (proletarian literature) rooted in socialism began to take shape thanks to the efforts of JR Becher and H. Lersch.
