A special vocal technique used in 20th century operas, oratorios, songs, etc. Literally, it means "speaking voice." In normal singing vocal techniques, the body cavity is resonated, the tone is adjusted, and the pitch is maintained as accurately as possible, but Sprechstimme is sung in a speaking manner that is closer to everyday intonation, and is notated as shown in the figure. 20世紀のオペラ，オラトリオ，歌曲などに用いられる特殊な発声法。字義通りには，〈語る声〉を意味する。普通の歌唱的な発声法では，体腔を共鳴させ，音調をととのえて，できる限り正確な音程を保持するが，シュプレヒシュティンメは日常的な語調に近く語るように歌うもので，図のように記譜される。この際，×印で示された音高は，概略の高さを指し示す。【服部幸三】
