A Germanic tribe originally from the Jutland Peninsula. They are also called Jutes. They migrated from Friesland to the Lower Rhine area early on. There is also a theory that they were the Eucii, who lived next to the Frankish state. They crossed into Britannia with the Angles and Saxons in the 5th and 6th centuries, and settled in the southeast of England, especially in Kent and the Isle of Wight. Jutic social customs can be seen in parts of the Kingdom of Kent and Sussex, and they are characterized by personal land use.
