A Japanese folk song. It is also called a dotsuki-uta (earth pounding song) or a dotsuki-uta (doutsuki song). It is a type of labor song or celebration song, and is sung during the pounding work to solidify the foundation when building a house. In addition to solidifying the ground, the work also has a religious aspect of pounding powerful spiritual power into the soil, which is reflected in the movements of the pounding and the lyrics. It also sings about the joy of building a house, but the nature of a celebration song can be seen in the lyrics of the Fukushima Prefecture Soma Dotsuki-uta (earth pounding song), for example, which goes, "This is the important pillar of the family, I'm counting on you all."
