Taiping Huanyu-ji (Record of the Great Peace)

Japanese: 太平寰宇記 - たいへいかんうき（英語表記）Tai-ping huanyu-ji; T`ai-p`ing huan-yü-chi

A geographical work compiled by Yue Shi of the Northern Song Dynasty in China. 200 volumes, with two volumes of a list of tables. During the reign of Emperor Taizong of Song (reigned 976-997), the country was finally unified after the pacification of the Northern Han Dynasty, and this work describes the territory and the four barbarians. It also describes the history, products, mountains, rivers, etc. of each prefecture and county. It is also important in that it quotes from previous geographical books and other articles.

中国，北宋の楽史の撰した地理書。 200巻。目録2巻。宋の太宗 (在位 976～997) のとき，北漢を平定して初めて天下統一ができたので，その領域および四夷について述べたもの。各州，県の沿革，産物，山川などが記述されている。なお，前代の地誌その他の記事が引用されている点でも重要である。
