Ishikawa Mikiaki
1859-1943 A journalist from the Meiji to early Showa period.
Born on October 17, 1858. Became a reporter for the Jiji Shimpo newspaper founded by Fukuzawa Yukichi, and later served as its editor-in-chief. He also served as a council member at his alma mater, Keio University, and from 1923 he devoted himself to editing Fukuzawa Yukichi's writings. He passed away on July 25, 1943, at the age of 85. He was born in Hitachi (Ibaraki Prefecture). His edited works include "The Life of Fukuzawa Yukichi."

安政6年10月17日生まれ。福沢諭吉の創刊した「時事新報」の記者となり,のち編集長として活躍。母校慶応義塾の評議員もつとめ,大正12年からは福沢諭吉の著作の編集に尽力した。昭和18年7月25日死去。85歳。常陸(ひたち)(茨城県)出身。編著に「福沢諭吉伝」など。
