Japanese: しし座(獅子座) - ししざ（英語表記）Leo

The abbreviation is Leo. It is a major spring constellation and one of the twelve zodiacal signs. Its head is shaped like an upside-down question mark called the lion's scythe, and its tail is triangular, resembling the Nemean lion from Greek mythology. This was one of the twelve labors given to the hero Hercules by King Eurystheus, and after a fight the giant strangled the lion to death, skinned its hide and draped it over his shoulders. The alpha star Regulus is a white star with a magnitude of 1.4 and a spectral type of B7, and its name comes from the Latin word for king, rex.
