Ammine complex - Ammine complex

A general name for a complex in which several ammonia molecules are coordinated to a metal atom. It is also called an ammonia complex, but this is not the official name. In the nomenclature of coordination compounds, ammonia as a ligand is called an ammine to distinguish it from an amine. However, complexes with ethylenediamine, pyridine, bipyridine, phenanthroline, etc. are also sometimes referred to as ammine complexes. It forms a relatively stable complex. Examples: [Co(NH ₃ ) ₆ ]Cl ₃ , [PtCl ₂ (NH ₃ ) ₂ ], etc.

金属原子にアンモニア分子がいくつか配位した錯体の一般名．アンモニア錯体ともいうが正式名称ではない．配位化合物の命名法では，配位子としてのアンモニアをアンミン(ammine)といい，アミン(amine)と区別する．しかし，エチレンジアミン，ピリジン，ビピリジン，フェナントロリンなどの錯体も含めてアンミン錯体と総称することもある．比較的安定な錯体をつくる．例：[Co(NH₃)₆]Cl₃，[PtCl₂(NH₃)₂]など．
