A type of storytelling. Originally, Shinto kosaku was a lecture on Shinto, an indigenous Japanese folk belief, but when it was given to lay kosaku by popular kosakuists, it became a kind of storytelling art. Its history is almost the same as the rise of kosaku as a storytelling art, and Masuho no Koguchi published Endotsugan in 1715 (5th year of Shotoku), which is a famous Shinto kosaku that is a discussion of the national polity and a return to the ancient ways, focusing on the viewpoint of harmony between men and women. Zanguchi lectured on the idea of the unity of the three religions, namely, "Shinto as the master, Confucianism, and Buddhism as the subordinate," and it is said that his position was based on Yoshida Shinto, to which he added Ise Shinto.
