〘Noun〙① One of the job titles in the early Edo Shogunate. 〘名〙① 江戸幕府初期の職名の一つ。慶長から寛永（一五九六‐一六四四）の頃、幕府の直轄地を支配した職。※徳川実紀‐慶長一五年（1610）是年「大河内孫太郎久綱地方奉行関東四十八万石の地を支配せしめらる」② ＝じかたとうにん（地方頭人）
