Issou Miki - Sanboku Issou
This title refers to four of Emperor Go-Daigo's favorite retainers who contributed greatly to the restoration of the Kenmu period. Miki refers to Yuki Chikamitsu, Hoki no Kami Nawa Nagato, and Kusunoki Masashige, while Issou refers to Chigusa Tadaaki. *Taiheiki (late 14th century) verse 17: "In those days, Yuki, Hoki, Kusunoki, and Chigusa no Tono Chujo, known as Miki Issou, were people who boasted of the court's favor until the end."
