The protagonist of a series of adventure detective novels by French popular novelist Maurice Leblanc (1864-1941). The French pronunciation is Lupin. A man of many faces, he commits a series of crimes with brilliant methods that astound the world, but at the same time he is also a great detective and a very gentlemanly man to the ladies. The author Leblanc first created this character as the protagonist of "Arsène Lupin, the Gentle Thief" (1907), and later became a worldwide best-selling author with works such as "813" (1910) and "The Crystal Cork" (1912).
