[1] A bridge over the Kyobashi River in Chuo Ward, Tokyo. It connects Kyobashi 3-chome and Ginza 1-chome. In the Edo period, it was the first bridge on the Fifty-Three Stations of the Tokaido Road that began at Nihonbashi and continued on to Kyoto, hence the name. There was a vegetable market on both sides of the bridge. It became an overpass when the Kyobashi River was filled in. Senryo Bridge. [2] A bridge over a tributary of the Uji River in Fushimi Ward, Kyoto City. The area below the bridge was known as a dock for boats such as Takase boats that went to Kyoto. [3] A bridge over the Neyagawa River that flows between Chuo Ward and Miyakojima Ward in Osaka City. It was the northwest entrance to Osaka Castle, and was the starting point of the Kyo-kaido road that passed through Hashimoto (Yawata City, Kyoto Prefecture) and Yodo (Fushimi Ward, Kyoto City) and continued to Kyoto. [4] A place name in Chuo Ward, Tokyo, on the north side of Ginza, adjacent to Yaesu, Nihonbashi, and Hatchobori. It forms the center of Tokyo. [5] One of the 35 wards of the former Tokyo City. It included Kyobashi, Takaracho, Ginza, Tsukiji, Tsukishima, Ishikawajima, etc. In 1947 , it merged with Nihonbashi Ward to form Chuo Ward. [6] The name refers to the area around Kyobashi Station, which is located on the southeastern edge of Miyakojima Ward in Osaka City and is served by the JR and Keihan lines.

[一] 東京都中央区、京橋川にかかっていた橋。京橋三丁目と銀座一丁目を結ぶ。江戸時代、日本橋を起点として京へ上る東海道五十三次の最初の橋であったため、呼ばれた。橋の両岸に青物市場があった。京橋川の埋立てによって陸橋となった。千両橋。[二] 京都市伏見区、宇治川の支流にかかる橋。橋の下は京へ通う高瀬舟などの船着場として知られた。[三] 大阪市の中央区と都島区の境を流れる寝屋川にかかる橋。大坂城の西北口にあたり、橋本(京都府八幡市)、淀(京都市伏見区)を経て京都に至る京街道の起点となった。[四] 東京都中央区、銀座の北側で、八重洲、日本橋、八丁堀に隣接する地名。東京の都心部を形成する。[五] 旧東京市三五区の一区。京橋、宝町、銀座、築地、月島、石川島などが含まれていた。昭和二二年(一九四七)日本橋区と合併し、中央区となる。[六] 大阪市都島区南東端にあるJR、京阪などの京橋駅を中心とした付近一帯の称。
