Toguyama Ancient Tomb - Togusan Kofun

Japanese: 東宮山古墳 - とうぐうさんこふん

This circular tomb is located in Mendori-cho, Kawanoe City, Ehime Prefecture. It is located on an independent hill called Higashimiyayama and measures 14m in diameter. It has a horizontal stone chamber that opens onto the plain to the northwest. The stone chamber has two sleeves and a short passageway leading to a burial chamber measuring 4.33m x 1.95m. Relics were extracted from the tomb in 1894, and the following year it was designated as a reference site for a tomb. Excavated items transferred to the Imperial Household Ministry include mirrors, crowns, earrings, jewels, bells, helmets with horns, pommels, horse equipment, sueki ware, and hajiki ware.

愛媛県川之江市妻鳥（めんどり）町に所在する円墳。東宮山と呼ぶ独立丘陵上にあり，直径14mを測る。北西の平野側に開口する横穴式石室を備える。石室は両袖式であり，4.33m×1.95mを測る玄室に，短い羨道（せんどう）がつく。1894年に遺物が取りだされ，翌年，陵墓参考地に指定された。宮内省に移された出土品として，鏡，冠，耳環，玉類，鈴，衝角付冑（かぶと），柄頭（つかがしら），馬具，須恵器，土師器（はじき）などがある。
