San-cai tu-hui (English: San-cai tu-hui)
A Chinese Ming Dynasty treatise written by Wang Qi. 106 volumes. Completed in 1607 (35th year of the Wanli era). The Sansai refers to heaven, earth, and man, and the book explains things divided into 14 categories - astronomy, geography, people, times, palaces, skills, the body, clothing, personnel, rituals, precious treasures, literature and history, birds and animals, and plants - with abundant illustrations. Wang Qi's son, Siyi, later published a sequel. Terashima Shojun's (Ryoan) Wakan Sansai Zue is a book that adds more Japanese topics to this book.
