A Dominican monk from Flanders, from around 1215 to around 1286. He served as chapel priest and confessor to the Pope from 1272 to 1278, and was appointed Archbishop of Corinth in 1278, a position he held until his death. His greatest contribution to the history of academia was his translation of many academic books from Greek to Latin. He is best known for his complete translation of the Collected Works of Aristotle, but he also translated works by Archimedes, Heron, Proclus, Simplicius, and others.
