Katsuragawa [town] - Keisen
A town in Kaho District, central Fukuoka Prefecture. The Chikuho Main Line runs through the town, and the Sasaguri Line branches off here. The town developed as a mining town in the Chikuho coalfields from the mid-Meiji period onwards, but with the decline of the coal industry, all of the coal mines were closed after 1955. Haji ware is a specialty of the town, and Ozuka Kofun (a special historic site) is located here. 20.14 km2 . Population: 13,863 (2010).
