...A settlement site from the late Yayoi period that spreads over 2,000 m2 from the Kakeyama area of Kozakai-cho, Hoi-gun, Aichi Prefecture to the Sagisaka and Gosha-inari areas. It is located on the Toyokawa river terrace, about 7 m above sea level. Since its discovery in 1927, it has been investigated by Seino Kenji, Hisanaga Haruo, the Toyohashi Historical Society, and others. Long trenches, numerous dwelling sites, and shell mounds mainly made of brackish water are distributed over several points, and are divided into Kakeyama, Sagisaka, and Gosha-inari points.
