Xi-Gang

[Born] Qianlong 11 (1746). Zhejiang, Hangzhou
[Died] October 24, 1803 (8th year of the Kaei Era).
A literati painter from the mid-Qing Dynasty in China. His hometown was Xinan, Anhui Province. His pen name was Junzhang, his pen name was Tiesheng, and his other pen names were Mengquan Waishi and Sanmusheng. He was skilled in poetry, calligraphy, painting, and seal carving, and was particularly skilled in landscape painting. He broke away from the bad habits of the Yushan and Loudong schools and created his own delicate style of painting. He was also one of the founders of a new style in seal carving.

中国，清中期の文人画家。籍は安徽省新安。字は純章，号は鉄生，別号は蒙泉外史，散木生など。詩，書，画，篆刻に巧みでことに山水画を得意とし，虞山派，婁東派の弊を離れ，独自の繊細な画風をつくり上げた。篆刻においても新風創始者の一人。
