Kranj (English spelling)

A city in northwestern Slovenia. It is located about 20 km northwest of the capital Ljubljana, at the confluence of the Sava and Kokra rivers. It has long flourished as a key transportation hub and the center of the Gorenjska region, and is currently home to a thriving electronics industry. Historical buildings such as St. Kantianus Church and the town hall remain in the old town. It is the birthplace of the national poet Prešeren. Kranj. Klan.
