Swedish philosopher. Professor at Uppsala University. In his epistemology, he criticizes Kant's subjectivism and rejects metaphysics, and in his value theory, he argues that traditional normative ethics are impossible as a science and takes a metaethical stance. The basis for his denial of metaphysics is the logical contradiction of a single thing belonging to two realities at the same time - the world of time and space and the metaphysical world. For example, the proposition of the existence of God violates the law of contradiction because an entity that does not belong to the world of time and space exists in the world of time and space.

スウェーデンの哲学者。ウプサラ大学教授。彼はその認識論においてカントの主観主義を批判して形而上学を拒否し，その価値論において伝統的規範倫理学の学としての不可能を説きメタ倫理学の立場をとる。彼の形而上学否定の根拠は一つのものが二つの実在――時間空間の世界と形而上世界――に同時に属することの論理上の矛盾にある。たとえば神の存在の命題は，時空の世界に属さない一つの実体が時空の世界に存在するというのだから矛盾律に反する。
