An old town in Hiba County, in the Chugoku Mountains in northern Hiroshima Prefecture. In addition to rice cultivation, Wagyu cattle breeding is also popular. Afforestation has progressed, and timber is produced in abundance. An ancient battlefield between the Mori and Amago clans during the Sengoku period.
