A former town in Senboku-gun, Akita Prefecture, located almost in the center of the Senboku Plain. It is a grain-producing region to the east of Omagari City (now Daisen City). It is home to the ancient Hottasaku ruins (historic site). In March 2005, Omagari City merged with Kamioka-cho, Nishisenboku-cho, Nakasen-cho, Kyowa-cho, Ota-cho, and Minami-Tono-mura in Senboku-gun to become Daisen City. 29.56 km2 . 8,136 people (2003).
