Public affairs origin - kujikongen

A book of court customs. 1 volume. A detailed explanation in Japanese about the origins of the imperial court events (official rites) throughout the year, from the Shihohai on the first day of the New Year to the Tsuina on the last day of December. There have been theories about the author since the Edo period, including one that claims it was Ichijo Kaneyoshi and another that denies it. This is because the contents of this book are similar to the explanatory text added by Nijo Yoshimoto after the judgment of the "Annual Events Poetry Contest" held in 1366 (Shohei 21, Joji 5). However, it is now believed that Yoshimoto's grandson Kaneyoshi revised and expanded the book.
