〘 noun 〙① Rules. In contrast to "regulations," "regulations" refers to a series of clauses established for a certain purpose. ※Mummy's Lipstick (1913) by Tamura Toshiko, 7th paragraph "Knowing that there was a written document saved up, Yoshio said it would be better to add this section of the regulations and send it." ② A document that specifies the internal organization and handling of affairs in government offices, etc. ※House Law (1889), Article 61 "The regulations for the negotiations between the two Houses shall be decided by mutual consultation."
