Although his birth and death years are unclear, he was an alchemist born in Germany in the 15th century. He traveled all over Europe, seeking alchemical books in places like Venice, and is said to have lived a long life by using a rejuvenating elixir he created himself, and it is said that Paracelsus also heard his lectures in Constantinople. The famous alchemical book "The Golden Fleece" (1490) is attributed to him, but the first edition was published in Rorschach in 1508.
