Japanese: 吉良[町] - きら

A former town in Hazu District facing Mikawa Bay in southern Aichi Prefecture. In the early modern period, it was the territory of the Kira clan, and was a prosperous area for the development of new fields through land reclamation and salt production. Yoshida, the center of the town, was once a salt shipping port and is a junction of the Meitetsu Gamagori Line and the Nishio Line. The town produces fruit and tea, and also raises livestock. In April 2011, it was incorporated into Isshiki Town, Hazu Town, and Nishio City in Hazu District. 35.98 ^km2 . Population 22,295 (2010).

愛知県南部，三河湾に面する幡豆(はず)郡の旧町。近世吉良氏の領地で，干拓による新田開発，製塩が盛んであった。中心の吉田はかつての塩の積出港で，名鉄蒲郡(がまごおり)線と西尾線の結節点。果樹，茶を産し，畜産も行う。2011年４月幡豆郡一色町，幡豆町と西尾市へ編入。35.98km²。２万2295人（2010）。
