Teacher - Kyoushi
〘Noun〙① One of the titles given by the All Japan Kendo Federation to those in Kendo, Iaido, and Jodo. It is the next title given to those who have reached the rank of 5th Dan, and are required to pass a certain examination, in the order of Hanshi, Kyoshi, and Renshi. It is awarded to those who are 7th Dan or higher in Renshi and are recognized as having teaching ability, after examination. ② = Kyoshi (teacher) ②※Zoka Myoyokidan (1879-80)〈Miyazaki Ryujo〉Two volumes "In the early modern period, many Kyoshi (teacher) were sent from England and Asia, and they exclusively taught Christianity."
