Born in 1645. Adopted son of the second head of the Kita school, Kita Judayu Masayoshi. Succeeded as the third head in 1665. Became an instructor for the Shogun, Tokugawa Tsunayoshi, but was stripped of his position in 1671. He was pardoned the following year, changed his name to Nakajo Kahei, and served as a close attendant. His adopted son, Judayu Chokan, became the Seventh Head of the Kita school and succeeded him as the fourth head of the Kita school. Died on July 6, 1616. Age 81. Born in Edo. His pen name was Yuzan.
