Born in 1869 (Kanpo 2). In 1871 (Meiwa 7), he became the 9th head of the Kita school. The Hosho school, favored by the shogun Tokugawa Ienari, rose to prominence and the Kita school fell into disuse, but he devoted himself to the study of the history of Noh and Noh masks. He left behind works such as "Akuma-buri," "Jufukusho," "Menmetorisho," and "Kamenfu." He passed away on June 25, 1829 (Bunsei 12). He was 88 years old. He was from Edo.
