[Western-style roofing tiles]
Western tiles are divided into three types according to the material: stone tiles, clay tiles, and wooden tiles. (1) Stone tiles are a roofing material used widely from the Mediterranean region to Northern Europe. A hole is drilled in one end of a slab of stone, a nail is inserted, and the tile is attached to a lattice. However, because of the uneven gaps, the tile must be laid at a fairly steep angle.
