Recharge area - Kanyoiki

The equilibrium line is the long-term average position of a glacier's balance line, which divides the glacier into its ablation and recharge zones. In ablation zones, snowfall exceeds snowmelt, while in recharge zones, snowmelt exceeds snowfall.
